Dr. Sun offers a unique blend of academic and practical experiences. Born and raised in Mainland China, she earned her first dental degree from Hebei Medical University in 1995. Before enrolling at the Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine in 2005, Dr. Sun earned a master’s degree in Information Systems from Northeastern University in Boston. She then spent six years conducting stem cell research at the Pulmonary Center, Boston University School of Medicine, in search of a cure for lung diseases.
Upon graduating in 2007, Dr. Sun has been devoted to practicing full-time, providing comprehensive dental care to patients of all ages across Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Her training, guided by some of the most accomplished experts in cosmetic and implant dentistry, as well as adult orthodontics, has equipped her to provide outstanding patient care.
Dr. Sun is a proponent of minimally invasive dentistry, leveraging advanced technologies to ensure her patients receive the most effective treatment with the least amount of discomfort. She believes in creating custom treatment plans based on accurate diagnoses of each patient’s unique oral health condition, tailoring each approach to meet their specific dental needs. Her commitment to lifelong learning and exceptional patient care is reflected in her active participation in numerous professional organizations. Dr. Sun is a member of the American Dental Association, the Massachusetts Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry (fellow), the American Dental Implant Association, DOCS education, and Spear education. Dr. Sun was a consulting dentist for Videa Health, an AI dental platform that facilitates radiographic diagnosis of dental conditions. She was also featured in an episode of American Health Front, which aired on WCVB, ABC Channel 5, educating the public about CEREC technology.
Dr. Sun firmly believes that modern technology and materials have revolutionized traditional dentistry and that it’s time for dental professionals to adopt a patient-centered, whole-body approach to dental medicine.
