CEREC same-day crowns in Norfolk, MA, are cut from a single piece of quality porcelain, making the restorations lasting and functional.

It’s important to note that same-day crowns are not of lesser quality than those fabricated in an outside lab.

The benefits of same-day crowns include:

  • No waiting weeks for crown creation,
  • Your dentist can oversee your crown’s fabrication.
  • No temporary restorations while you wait.
  • No messy impression pastes.

About Same-Day Dental Crowns Durability

You may have asked yourself, “Are CEREC crowns durable?” They are!

As with most crowns, our same-day restorations can last a decade or far longer with healthy and smart habits.

To create same-day crowns, we take an impression of the tooth after it has been prepared for crowning. Then your dentist takes a digital impression. We send the impression specs to an on-site computer for design and processing. The computer sends the results to an in-office printer. The restoration is then cut from a single piece of porcelain and fabricated while you wait.

Promote Crown Longevity with Good Habits

  • Brush and floss regularly.
  • Visit your dentist twice-yearly.
  • Wear your mouthguard when playing sports.
  • Wear your nightguard if you grind your teeth.
  • Don’t bite into sticky foods with your crowned tooth.
  • Contact your dentist if your crown loosens, the tooth beneath feels sensitive, or your bite changes.

How We Use Dental Crowns

Dental crowns connect bridge teeth to healthy teeth and cap dental implant posts. They also stabilize weak or treated teeth. In cosmetic dentistry, some patients opt for dental crowns to conceal discoloration, flaws, short teeth, or other cosmetic imperfections.
